About Alacranes Musical
Alacranes Musical is a Mexican-American duranguense band formed in Chicago in 1996. The group became known for brisk regional Mexican arrangements led by keyboards, saxophone and tambora, and for songs including “Por Tu Amor,” “Dame Tu Amor” and “A Cambio de Qué.”
During duranguense’s 2000s peak, Alacranes Musical played dance venues, fairs and festivals across the United States. The full band has also taken that repertoire to audiences throughout Mexico.
