About Bronco

Bronco is a Mexican grupera band formed in Apodaca, Nuevo León, in 1979 and led by singer and bassist José Guadalupe Esparza. Its norteño, cumbia and ranchera repertoire includes “Que No Quede Huella,” “Sergio el Bailador” and “Libros Tontos.”

The group regrouped in 2003 and performed as El Gigante de América because the Bronco name was unavailable to the musicians. They reclaimed the Bronco billing in 2017 and that year performed their catalog at Mexico City’s Vive Latino festival.
