Alan Stivell in Caluire-et-Cuire

Alan Stivell is a French singer, composer and harpist, born in Riom in 1944. He became known for placing the Celtic harp at the centre of modern Breton folk and rock, particularly on the albums Renaissance de la harpe celtique and Chemins de terre. “Tri Martolod” and “Suite Sudarmoricaine” are among the pieces most closely associated with his repertoire. His 1972 concert at the Olympia was broadcast live by Europe 1 and subsequently released as a concert album. In 1999, he performed with Tri Yann, Gilles Servat and Dan Ar Braz at Bretagnes à Bercy in the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy.
