About Albert Hammond
Albert Hammond is a British-Gibraltarian singer-songwriter, born in London in 1944 and raised in Gibraltar. His pop and soft-rock catalogue includes “It Never Rains in Southern California,” “The Free Electric Band” and “I’m a Train.” He also co-wrote songs recorded by other artists, including “The Air That I Breathe,” “When I Need You,” “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” and “One Moment in Time.”
A 2013 concert in Wilhelmshaven placed his own recordings and compositions for other performers in the same career-spanning set. The performance was released as Songbook 2013: Live in Wilhelmshaven.
