Alcest is a French band founded in 2000 in Bagnols-sur-Cèze by singer, guitarist and songwriter Neige. The group plays atmospheric black metal, shoegaze and post-rock, and is known for albums including Souvenirs d’un autre monde, Écailles de lune, Les Voyages de l’âme and Kodama. The Dead Ends of Europe tour in 2012 put Alcest on the road with Katatonia and Junius. The band later co-headlined European dates with Mono in 2016, followed by a 2022 European run supporting Cult of Luna together with Svalbard. Festival appearances have taken Alcest to Roadburn in Tilburg and Hellfest in Clisson.
Agriculture are an American black metal band formed in Los Angeles in 2018. The group describes its music as “ecstatic black metal,” pairing blast beats and harsh vocals with expansive guitar passages. Its self-titled 2023 debut includes “The Glory of the Ocean” and “Look, Pt. 1.” In 2024, Agriculture performed at Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, then joined Chat Pile for a North American tour later that year.
