About Alessandro Safina
Alessandro Safina is an Italian tenor and classical-crossover singer, born in Siena in 1963. He is best known for “Luna,” the central song from the album Insieme a te, and for contributing operatic vocals to Ewan McGregor’s performance of “Your Song” on the Moulin Rouge! soundtrack.
In 2001, Safina gave a filmed concert at the Teatro Antico di Taormina, performing his crossover repertoire with orchestra and band. At the 2002 Party at the Palace at Buckingham Palace, he joined Elton John for “Your Song.”
