Alex Agnew in Antwerp

Alex Agnew is a Belgian stand-up comedian, vocalist and podcaster, born in 1972. His win at the Leids Cabaret Festival in 2003 brought him wider attention in Dutch-language comedy, followed by shows including Morimos Solamente, More Human Than Human and Larger Than Life. Larger Than Life took him to Antwerp’s Sportpaleis in 2011, making him the first Belgian stand-up comedian to perform there. He returned to the arena with The Legend Ends in 2012 before stepping away from stand-up, then resumed performing with Unfinished Business. Alex Agnew performs solo, using storytelling, character voices and vocal sound effects. Hard rock and metal recur in his material, reflecting his work as the vocalist of Diablo Blvd.
