Alicia Villarreal in Las Vegas

Alicia Villarreal is a Mexican singer born in Monterrey in 1971, known for grupera, norteño and ranchera music. She first became widely known as the lead vocalist of Grupo Límite, whose repertoire includes “Te Aprovechas” and “Ay Papacito.” Her solo catalogue includes the album Soy lo Prohibido and the song “Te Quedó Grande la Yegua.” Grupo Límite played the Houston Astrodome during its late-1990s concert run, before Villarreal established a separate touring career under her own name. Her 2024 Donde Todo Comenzó tour drew on both her solo recordings and the Grupo Límite songbook for performances in Mexico and the United States.
