Alison Krauss is an American bluegrass and country singer, fiddler and bandleader, born in Decatur, Illinois, in 1971. She records both as a solo artist and with Union Station, and is known for songs including “When You Say Nothing at All” and “The Lucky One,” as well as the albums New Favorite and Paper Airplane. Her collaborations with Robert Plant produced Raising Sand and Raise the Roof. The Grand Ole Opry inducted Alison Krauss as a member in 1993, establishing a long-running connection to its Nashville stage. She toured with Robert Plant behind Raising Sand in 2008, then returned to the road with Union Station for the Paper Airplane tour. Alison Krauss and Robert Plant toured together again after Raise the Roof and performed at Glastonbury Festival in 2022.
