Allegaeon is an American technical and melodic death metal band formed in Fort Collins, Colorado, in 2008. Intricate dual-guitar writing, harsh vocals and lyrics drawing on science and philosophy shape albums including Formshifter, Elements of the Infinite, Proponent for Sentience, Apoptosis and Damnum; “1.618” is among the band’s best-known songs. Allegaeon toured North America in support of Ne Obliviscaris before mounting a headline run for Damnum in 2022. That club tour presented the band as a full electric metal lineup and featured support from Arkaik, Aenimus and Summoning the Lich.
