About alt-J

alt-J are a British band formed in Leeds in 2007, playing alternative rock with electronic rhythms, folk-rooted guitar and intricate vocal arrangements. Their 2012 debut album, An Awesome Wave, won the Mercury Prize and introduced songs including “Breezeblocks” and “Tessellate”; later releases brought “Left Hand Free” and “In Cold Blood.”

In 2015, alt-J headlined Madison Square Garden and recorded a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, later released as Live at Red Rocks. The band returned to North American arenas in 2022, co-headlining dates with Portugal. The Man on The Dream Tour.
