Amaranthe in Jyväskylä

Amaranthe is a Swedish metal band formed in Gothenburg in 2008. Its music combines heavy guitar riffs and electronic textures with clean female and male singing plus harsh vocals. The band became known through songs including “Hunger,” “The Nexus,” “Drop Dead Cynical” and “Digital World,” and albums such as Amaranthe, The Nexus and Massive Addictive. In 2020, Amaranthe joined Sabaton and Apocalyptica on the European arena run The Great Tour. A European co-headlining tour with Beyond the Black followed in 2022, supported by Butcher Babies and Ad Infinitum, before the band undertook a North American co-headlining run with DragonForce in 2023. The concert format centers on the band’s three-vocalist arrangement, moving between clean female and male parts and harsh vocals over guitars, keyboards, bass and drums. The band has performed at Wacken Open Air in Germany and Sweden Rock Festival, while its festival history also includes Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium.
