Amedeo Minghi in Bologna

Amedeo Minghi is an Italian singer-songwriter and composer, born in Rome in 1947, whose music belongs to melodic pop and the canzone d’autore tradition. His best-known songs include “L’immenso,” “1950” and “Vattene amore,” recorded as a duet with Mietta. He also composed music for the Fantaghirò television films. At the 1983 Sanremo Music Festival, he performed “1950”; seven years later he returned with Mietta for “Vattene amore.” In 1992, he brought his repertoire to a stadium concert at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico.
