American Bach Soloists in San Francisco

American Bach Soloists is an American period-instrument orchestra and choir founded in 1989 by conductor Jeffrey Thomas. Based in California, the ensemble specializes in Bach and other Baroque repertoire, including the cantatas, Passions and Mass in B Minor, as well as Handel’s Messiah. At Grace Cathedral in San Francisco, American Bach Soloists established an annual tradition of performing Messiah. In 2010, the organization founded its summer academy for emerging early-music performers, which became part of the American Bach Soloists Festival & Academy.
