Amplifier are an English rock band formed in 1999, known for heavy progressive and alternative rock built around Sel Balamir’s guitar and vocals. Their self-titled debut introduced songs including “Motorhead” and “Neon,” while the double album The Octopus became another central work in their catalogue. Amplifier supported Deftones during the period surrounding their debut, then took The Octopus on a 2011 run through Britain and continental Europe. Their concert history also includes hometown performances at Manchester Academy.
