Amy Grant & Mac McAnally in Memphis

Amy Grant is an American singer-songwriter born in Augusta, Georgia, in 1960 who performs contemporary Christian music and pop. The album Age to Age established her in Christian music, while Heart in Motion reached a wider pop audience through songs including “Baby Baby” and “Every Heartbeat.” Her other signature recordings include “El Shaddai” and “That’s What Love Is For.” The Lead Me On World Tour brought the 1988 album into full-band concerts and was documented in a concert video. She later made Christmas performances a recurring part of her live work, touring holiday material with Michael W. Smith and presenting an annual series with Vince Gill at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.

Mac McAnally is an American country singer-songwriter, guitarist and producer, born in Red Bay, Alabama, in 1957. His self-titled debut appeared in 1977, and his catalog includes “Back Where I Come From” and “Down the Road,” which he recorded with Kenny Chesney. He has also written songs recorded by Alabama and Sawyer Brown and received the Country Music Association’s Musician of the Year award repeatedly. Mac McAnally joined Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band in 1998 and spent decades touring with the group in amphitheatres and arenas. That association joined his country songwriting to Buffett’s Gulf Coast sound, and he performed with the band at Keep the Party Going: A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett at the Hollywood Bowl in 2024.
