Kenny G is an American saxophonist born Kenneth Gorelick in Seattle in 1956. He plays smooth jazz and instrumental pop, and is known for the songs “Songbird,” “Silhouette” and “Forever in Love,” as well as the albums Duotones and Breathless. The 1989 concert album Kenny G Live documented his stage repertoire during the period that followed Duotones. In 2022, he co-headlined the Breezin’ & Groovin’ Tour with guitarist George Benson. His concerts feature a full band led by his soprano saxophone. Sets draw on his instrumental catalog and seasonal music from Miracles: The Holiday Album. His festival appearances have included the Montreux Jazz Festival and the Java Jazz Festival in Jakarta.
