Anat Cohen in Brasília

Anat Cohen is an Israeli jazz clarinetist and saxophonist, born in Tel Aviv in 1975. Her contemporary jazz draws extensively on Brazilian choro and other Latin American traditions. Her recordings include Noir, Notes from the Village, Claroscuro and Luminosa, and she also leads the Anat Cohen Tentet. Clarinetwork: Live at the Village Vanguard documents her quartet performing music associated with Benny Goodman at the New York club. She has also performed at the Newport Jazz Festival, while the Anat Cohen Tentet expanded her live format to a ten-piece ensemble under musical director Oded Lev-Ari and made its debut at the Jazz Standard.
