Andreas Kümmert is a German singer-songwriter, born in 1986, whose music draws on blues rock, soul and classic rock. He became widely known after winning the third season of The Voice of Germany, where his repertoire included Elton John’s “Rocket Man” and Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man.” His albums include Here I Am and Recovery Case. His first nationally televised sequence of live performances came during The Voice of Germany in 2013, culminating in the final. In 2015 he performed “Heart of Stone” at Unser Song für Österreich in Hanover and won the public vote, but declined the Eurovision place in favour of runner-up Ann Sophie. He subsequently returned to club and theatre stages with his band for shows connected to Recovery Case.
