Andreas Martin Hofmeir in Wolfratshausen

Andreas Martin Hofmeir is a German tuba soloist, professor and cabaret performer, born in Munich in 1978. He co-founded the Bavarian brass group LaBrassBanda, teaches at Mozarteum University Salzburg and became the first tuba player named Instrumentalist of the Year at the ECHO Klassik awards. He held orchestral posts with the Bruckner Orchester Linz and Gewandhausorchester Leipzig before playing concerts as a founding member of LaBrassBanda. His solo appearances have included performances with the Munich Philharmonic and NDR Radiophilharmonie, while his Kein Aufwand! stage programs combine tuba playing with comic readings.
