Andrzej Piaseczny in Lodz

Andrzej Piaseczny is a Polish pop singer and actor, born in Pionki in 1971. He sang lead for Mafia during the 1990s and contributed vocals to Robert Chojnacki’s album Sax & Sex; songs associated with this period include “Imię deszczu” and “Prawie do nieba.” His solo catalogue includes “Mocniej,” “Chodź, przytul, przebacz” and the album Spis rzeczy ulubionych. In 2001, he represented Poland at the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, performing “2 Long.” He later toured in concert with songwriter Seweryn Krajewski, and their collaboration was documented on the album Na przekór nowym czasom – live.
