Ángel Stanich in Miranda de Ebro

Ángel Stanich is a Spanish singer-songwriter from Santander who plays wiry indie rock shaped by folk and psychedelic pop. His gravelly voice, surreal lyrics and songs including “Metralleta Joe” and “Carbura!” established the style heard across the albums Camino ácido, Antigua y Barbuda and Polvo de Battiato. Ángel Stanich toured Spanish clubs and festivals after releasing Camino ácido. He followed those concerts with sets built around Antigua y Barbuda, then returned to the road with material from Polvo de Battiato. His festival appearances have included Sonorama Ribera and Santander Music.
