Angeline Morrison in London

Angeline Morrison is a British folk singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Cornwall. She is best known for The Sorrow Songs: Folk Songs of Black British Experience, an album produced by Eliza Carthy that places Black British lives and histories within the language of traditional folk song. Following the album’s release, Angeline Morrison performed its repertoire at Cecil Sharp House in London and later at Cambridge Folk Festival. Her concerts foreground her voice, autoharp and the historical narratives at the heart of The Sorrow Songs.
