About ANGRA

ANGRA are a Brazilian metal band formed in São Paulo in 1991 by guitarist Rafael Bittencourt and singer André Matos. They play melodic power and progressive metal, represented by albums including Angels Cry, Holy Land, Rebirth and Temple of Shadows. “Carry On” and “Nova Era” are among the principal songs in their catalog.

The Rebirth World Tour was documented at Via Funchal in 2001 for a live album and concert film. More than a decade later, the Angels Cry 20th Anniversary Tour revisited the debut album and was recorded at HSBC Brasil in 2013; Tarja Turunen and Uli Jon Roth joined the band as guests.
