About Animals As Leaders
Animals as Leaders is an American instrumental progressive-metal band formed in Washington, D.C., in 2007 as guitarist Tosin Abasi’s project. The self-titled debut includes “CAFO,” while The Joy of Motion, The Madness of Many and Parrhesia developed the band’s use of extended-range guitars, complex rhythms and electronic textures. “Physical Education” is another signature track.
In 2019, Animals as Leaders marked the tenth anniversary of the debut album on a North American tour, performing the record in full. The Parrhesia Tour followed in 2022 and took the trio through clubs and theatres across North America.
The concert is performed by a three-piece instrumental lineup: Tosin Abasi and Javier Reyes play extended-range guitars, and Matt Garstka plays drums.
