Anna Mateur is a German singer, actor, visual artist and musical-cabaret performer, born Anna Maria Scholz in Dresden in 1977. Trained in jazz, rock and pop singing, she became known for stage programs built around songs, vocal character work and comic monologues. In 2003 she founded Anna Mateur and the Beuys and began presenting her own productions with changing groups of musicians. She has since toured cabaret houses and theatres around Germany with programs including Screamshots, Walgesänge and Protokoll einer Disco.
