Anne Paceo in Le Touquet-Paris-Plage

Anne Paceo is a French drummer, composer and bandleader born in 1984. Her contemporary jazz draws on song, electronic textures and layered rhythms; her principal albums include Circles, Bright Shadows and S.H.A.M.A.N.E.S. The Circles group performed at Jazz in Marciac, while her association with Jazz sous les pommiers in Coutances provided a setting for developing and presenting later projects. Those concerts chart the progression toward the vocal and percussion-led material of Bright Shadows and S.H.A.M.A.N.E.S. She leads her ensembles from the drum kit, directing music written for voices, keyboards, reeds and percussion. That expanded ensemble is central to the concert form of S.H.A.M.A.N.E.S.
