Anri is a Japanese singer-songwriter born in Yamato, Kanagawa, known for polished pop and city-pop recordings associated with Japan’s 1980s sound. She debuted in 1978 with “Olivia wo Kikinagara”; “Cat’s Eye,” “Kanashimi ga Tomaranai” and the album Timely!! are among her best-known works. Anri documented the concert tour behind her 1989 album Circuit of Rainbow in a live video release. In 2023, she toured Japan to mark the 45th anniversary of her debut, while her club performances have included Billboard Live Tokyo and Billboard Live Osaka.
