Anthony Callea is an Australian pop singer born in Melbourne in 1982. He became known as the runner-up on Australian Idol in 2004, then made his recording of “The Prayer” a signature song. His catalogue includes the albums Anthony Callea, Backbone and ARIA Number 1 Hits in Symphony. The Ladies & Gentlemen: The Songs of George Michael tour took his interpretations of George Michael’s catalogue to Australian theatres. In 2017, he brought orchestral arrangements of Australian chart-topping songs to Hamer Hall in a concert with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
