Anthrax in Brooklyn

Anthrax is an American thrash-metal band formed in New York City in 1981. A member of thrash metal’s “Big Four,” the group is known for albums including Spreading the Disease, Among the Living and Persistence of Time, as well as songs such as “Madhouse,” “Caught in a Mosh” and “Indians.” The 1991 Clash of the Titans tour took Anthrax through American arenas with Slayer and Megadeth, while Alice in Chains opened the shows. In 2010 and 2011, the band reunited with those two groups and Metallica for the Big Four concerts, including a 2011 performance at Yankee Stadium. In Europe, Anthrax performed at Britain’s Download Festival and Germany’s Wacken Open Air.
