Artist
Anti-Nowhere League is a British punk band formed in Tunbridge Wells in 1980 and fronted by singer Animal. The group became known through its version of Ralph McTell’s “Streets of London,” the single “So What” and the 1982 debut album We Are... The League. The 1981 Apocalypse Now tour placed the band on a punk package alongside The Exploited, Anti-Pasti, Chron Gen and Discharge. A 1983 performance in Zagreb was documented on Live in Yugoslavia. After re-forming in the 1990s, Anti-Nowhere League returned to club and festival touring and has made repeated appearances at Rebellion Festival in Blackpool.
