About Aqua
Aqua is a Danish-Norwegian pop group formed in 1989, known for bubblegum dance-pop and Europop. Lene Nystrøm, René Dif, Søren Rasted and Claus Norreen found widespread success with the album Aquarium and its singles “Barbie Girl,” “Doctor Jones” and “Turn Back Time”; the follow-up Aquarius included “Cartoon Heroes” and “Around the World.”
At the Eurovision Song Contest 2001 in Copenhagen, Aqua performed a medley with Safri Duo during the interval. After regrouping in 2007, they returned for the 2008 Grøn Koncert tour around Denmark, followed by a national tour of Australia in 2012.
