Arch Enemy & The Black Dahlia Murder in Salt Lake City

Arch Enemy is a Swedish melodic death metal band formed in 1995 by guitarist Michael Amott. Its best-known releases include Wages of Sin, Anthems of Rebellion and Doomsday Machine, while “Nemesis” and “We Will Rise” became central songs in its catalog. Alissa White-Gluz became lead vocalist in 2014. Arch Enemy performed on Ozzfest in 2005, then toured North America on Gigantour in 2006 alongside Megadeth, Lamb of God and Opeth. In 2022, the band and Behemoth co-headlined the European Siege Tour; Carcass and Unto Others served as support. In Germany, the band has performed at Wacken Open Air, and its French festival appearances have included Hellfest. Arch Enemy has also performed in Japan at Loud Park.

The Black Dahlia Murder is an American melodic death metal band formed in Waterford, Michigan, in 2001. Fast, harmonized guitar lines and death-metal vocals shaped albums including Unhallowed, Nocturnal and Ritual, while “Funeral Thirst” and “What a Horrible Night to Have a Curse” became enduring parts of the band’s catalogue. After performing on Ozzfest in 2005, the band headlined The Summer Slaughter Tour in 2008. They returned to the tour in 2017 to play Nocturnal in full. Following vocalist Trevor Strnad’s death, the band played a memorial concert at Saint Andrew’s Hall in Detroit in 2022, where founding guitarist Brian Eschbach took over lead vocals.
