Ari Shaffir is an American stand-up comedian, podcaster and actor from New York City. He created and hosted the storytelling series This Is Not Happening, hosts the podcast Ari Shaffir’s Skeptic Tank, and has released stand-up specials including Double Negative and Jew.
The Comedy Store in Los Angeles made him a paid regular and later hosted the live storytelling show that developed into This Is Not Happening for Comedy Central. For Jew, released in 2022, he recorded his stand-up set before an audience at Roulette Intermedium in Brooklyn.
