ascendant vierge is a French electronic duo formed by vocalist Mathilde Fernandez and producer Paul Seul. Their music pairs French-language vocals with hard trance, gabber and techno rhythms; tracks including “Influenceur,” “Faire et refaire” and “Petit soldat” led to the album Une nouvelle chance. At the ARTE Concert Festival in Paris, ascendant vierge presented this material as a two-person electronic performance. Their concerts place Fernandez at the microphone while Paul Seul handles the production and electronic instrumentation.
