ASP in Neunkirchen

ASP is a German gothic rock project formed in Frankfurt in 1999 by singer and songwriter Alexander “Asp” Spreng and guitarist Matthias Ambré. Its music draws on gothic rock, darkwave and industrial textures, and the project is known for “Ich will brennen,” the Der Schwarze Schmetterling album cycle and the Krabat-inspired work Zaubererbruder. ASP has repeatedly performed at Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig while also mounting headline tours through clubs and theatres. Spreng leads the concerts with a full rock band, drawing the repertoire from long-form cycles including Der Schwarze Schmetterling and Zaubererbruder. M’era Luna in Hildesheim and Amphi Festival in Cologne have both hosted ASP.
