About Avi Kaplan
Avi Kaplan is an American singer-songwriter and bass vocalist born in Visalia, California, in 1989. He became known as a member of the vocal group Pentatonix before leaving in 2017 to pursue folk and Americana music. His solo catalog includes “Change on the Rise,” “I’ll Get By” and the album Floating on a Dream.
Avi Kaplan toured internationally with Pentatonix, including the group’s 2016 world tour. After beginning his solo work as Avriel & the Sequoias, he returned to his own name and developed a concert repertoire around his low voice, acoustic guitar and backing band. In 2022, the Floating on a Dream Tour brought that material to headline dates in North America and Europe.
