Awie in Kuala Lumpur

Awie is a Malaysian rock singer and actor, born Ahmad Azhar Othman in Kuala Lumpur in 1968. He is best known as the lead singer of Wings and for solo songs including “Tragedi Oktober,” “Ratuku” and “Di Penjara Janji”; his work with the band includes “Sejati” and “Taman Rashidah Utama.” Awie presented his solo catalogue at Istana Budaya in Konsert Awie Romantika. He later returned to the band format for Konsert Wings 30 Tahun, staged at Stadium Merdeka in 2015.
