Aynur is a Kurdish singer from Turkey, born in Çemişgezek in 1975. She performs Kurdish folk songs in contemporary arrangements and is known for albums including Keçe Kurdan, Nûpel and Rewend. Aynur has performed at Carnegie Hall in New York, drawing her set from the Kurdish-language repertoire heard across her recordings. Her festival history also includes a performance at WOMAD.
