Artist
AySay is a Danish trio formed in Copenhagen and led by singer and saz player Luna Ersahin. The group plays contemporary folk rooted in Kurdish and Turkish song traditions, adding guitar, percussion and electronic textures. Its principal releases include the albums Su Akar and KÖY. AySay performed a WOMEX showcase in Porto in 2021, presenting Ersahin’s multilingual vocals in the trio’s instrumental setup. They later brought the same three-piece format to Roskilde Festival.
