AZ in Clermont-Ferrand

AZ is an American rapper from Brooklyn known for intricate rhymes and East Coast production. His verse on “Life’s a Bitch” from Nas’s 1994 album Illmatic introduced his voice to a broad audience, followed by the debut album Doe or Die and tracks including “Sugar Hill,” “Rather Unique” and “Mo Money, Mo Murder, Mo Homicide.” He also recorded as a member of The Firm. In 2015, AZ marked the 20th anniversary of Doe or Die with a performance at SOB’s in New York. He later joined Nas at Madison Square Garden during the 2023 King’s Disease Trilogy concert, where they performed “Life’s a Bitch” together.
