Azealia Banks is an American rapper and singer born in Harlem in 1991. Her music draws on hip-hop, house and electronic dance music, and the 2011 single “212” established her signature rapid-fire delivery. Her principal releases include the mixtape Fantasea and the album Broke with Expensive Taste, which features “Heavy Metal and Reflective” and “Chasing Time.” Azealia Banks performed at Coachella in 2012, played Glastonbury Festival the following year and returned to the California event in 2015. These festival sets paired rapped verses and sung vocals with electronic backing, including material from Fantasea and Broke with Expensive Taste.
