About Bad Religion
Bad Religion is an American punk rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1980 by Greg Graffin, Brett Gurewitz, Jay Bentley and Jay Ziskrout. Fast, melodic songs, layered vocal harmonies and lyrics about politics, religion and society run through albums including Suffer, No Control, Against the Grain and Stranger Than Fiction; “American Jesus” and “21st Century (Digital Boy)” are among its best-known songs.
Bad Religion documented its 2010 anniversary concerts on 30 Years Live, drawn from performances at House of Blues venues. The band followed True North with a 2013 tour featuring Against Me! and Polar Bear Club, then recorded the four-part Decades concert series at the Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood in 2020, arranging each set around a different period of its catalogue.
The band has performed at Punk Rock Bowling in Las Vegas and Resurrection Fest in Viveiro, while its festival history also includes Hellfest in Clisson.
