Badly Drawn Boy in Leeds

Badly Drawn Boy is the recording name of English singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Damon Gough, born in 1969. His melodic indie pop and folk-tinged rock reached a wider audience through the debut album The Hour of Bewilderbeast, which won the Mercury Prize, and his soundtrack for About a Boy. His best-known songs include “Once Around the Block,” “Silent Sigh” and “Something to Talk About.” Badly Drawn Boy played Glastonbury Festival in 2000, the year The Hour of Bewilderbeast was released. In 2015, he marked the album’s 15th anniversary with a UK tour built around a complete performance of the record, including a date at Manchester’s Albert Hall.
