BAEST is a Danish death metal quintet formed in Aarhus in 2015 by vocalist Simon Olsen, guitarists Svend Karlsson and Lasse Revsbech, bassist Mattias Melchiorsen and drummer Sebastian Abildsten. The band’s recordings include the albums Danse Macabre, Venenum, Necro Sapiens and Colossal, as well as the Justitia EP. Its sound draws on 1990s and 2000s death metal, and Necro Sapiens pairs melodic guitar lines with d-beats and slower passages.
