About Bakermat
Bakermat is the stage name of Dutch DJ and producer Lodewijk Fluttert, born in Markelo in 1991. He makes house music shaped by jazz, soul and gospel, and became known through “One Day (Vandaag),” which samples a speech by Martin Luther King Jr. His other signature tracks include “Teach Me” and “Baianá,” while The Ringmaster marked his debut album.
Bakermat launched the Bakermat’s Circus event concept in 2014, presenting editions in Paris and London before taking it to Amsterdam and Rio de Janeiro. His shows have often placed a live saxophonist alongside the DJ set. He has also performed at Tomorrowland and Mysteryland.
