Banda Cuisillos in Arlington

Banda Cuisillos is a Mexican group formed in Tala, Jalisco, in 1987. The band plays brass-led regional Mexican music, cumbia and romantic ballads, and is known for songs including “Mil Heridas,” “Perdóname,” “Vanidosa” and “Ya No Me Mires Así.” Its Indigenous-inspired costumes and tribal imagery are a longstanding part of its identity. Banda Cuisillos has spent decades performing at fairs, palenques and dance venues in Mexico and the United States. The concerts feature a full horn-and-percussion ensemble, singers, coordinated choreography and the group’s distinctive feathered stage dress; its appearances in Jalisco have included Fiestas de Octubre.
