Niedeckens BAP in Nuremberg

Niedeckens BAP is a German rock band formed in Cologne in 1976 around singer, guitarist and songwriter Wolfgang Niedecken. The group performs primarily in Kölsch, the city’s dialect, and is known for songs including “Verdamp lang her,” “Kristallnaach” and “Do kanns zaubere,” as well as the album “Vun drinne noh drusse.” The band’s 1982 Rockpalast concert at the Loreley open-air stage documented its early years as a major touring act. After a planned East German tour was cancelled in 1984, the group toured China in 1987 and performed in Beijing and Shanghai. Its thirtieth-anniversary tour included Kölnarena in 2006.
