Barbara Mason in Glendale

Barbara Mason is an American soul and R&B singer-songwriter from Philadelphia, born in 1947. She is best known for the 1965 ballad “Yes, I’m Ready,” followed by songs including “Oh How It Hurts” and the 1970s answer record “From His Woman to You.” In 1965, Barbara Mason performed “Yes, I’m Ready” on American Bandstand during the song’s original hit run. She later presented material from her 1970s recordings, including “From His Woman to You,” on Soul Train.
