Barón Rojo in Madrid

Barón Rojo is a Spanish heavy metal and hard rock band formed in Madrid in 1980. The group became known through albums including Volumen brutal and Metalmorfosis, and songs such as “Los rockeros van al infierno,” “Resistiré” and “Hijos de Caín.” Barón Rojo performed at Reading Festival in 1982, an early landmark in the band’s international live history. In 1984, the group recorded Barón al rojo vivo at the Palacio de los Deportes, and the original quartet reunited for a 30th-anniversary tour in 2010. The concerts use a full electric-band format, centred on the paired lead-guitar parts and shared vocals of Armando and Carlos de Castro.
